General OHS Induction for Construction

(also known as Green or White Card)

 

Course Summary

This course is aimed at all new workers carrying out construction work, including:

• self-employed persons
• labourers
• apprentices
• trainees
• trades-persons
• supervisors
• project managers

This course provides participants with:

• basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry in NSW
• information about preventing workplace injury and illness, workplace injury
  management and workers compensation in NSW

 

Total course duration is 5 hours.

Content

This course is designed with flexibility, so it can be adapted to cater for special needs of the client.

• OHS legislation in NSW
• consultation and communication in OHS
• implementing health and safety for construction work
• workplace emergencies and first aid for construction work
• workplace injury management and workers compensation in NSW

 

Certification

Successful participants will receive a WorkCover Statement of Completion issued by the accredited trainer
