Course Summary

This course is designed for those who require training that conforms to the recommendations of the Australian Resuscitation Council and extends from Advanced First Aid to address the establishment and maintenance of facilities to enable or facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in the workplace.

Specifically, the course is designed for people employed as Occupational First Aiders, normally on a site with more than 100 employees and/or has a First Aid Room.

This course is accredited and approved by NSW WorkCover and incorporates the content of:

• HLTFA301B  Apply First Aid
• HLTFA402A  Apply Advanced First Aid
• HLTFA404A  Apply Advanced Resuscitation Techniques

Delivery

The expected duration to complete this course is 32 hours training and assessment.

This is achieved via students completing part of the theory prior to attending using either our on-line facility or we can send a workbook and manual and then a further 3 days of face to face training and assessment.

Content

All content contained within Apply First Aid, Apply Advanced First Aid and Apply Advanced Resuscitation Techniques with the addition of: 

• State and Territory Legislation
• First Aid Rooms and Maintenance
• First Aid Equipment and Resources
• First Aid Management Procedures
• Advanced Resuscitation

Award Issued

• Statement of Attainment & Wallet Card in HLTFA403A – Manage First Aid in the Workplace
• Valid for three (3) year from the completion date

Prerequisites

• Participants must be 16 years or older
• Participants must hold a current Senior First Aid certificate
