Health Safety Committee Training is for WHS Committee members, it is targeted at those that are part of the committee but NOT HSR’s.

Since the HSR course came into effect there was a gap in training for the committee members as there wasn’t a requirement to put them through the full HSR course.

Delivery

The expected duration to complete this course is 4 hours face to face training although experienced groups may complete it in an accelerated timeframe.

Course Aims

This course aims to increase participants knowledge and skills so that they:

• Function effectively as a member of their Health & Safety Committee
• Contribute to WHS legal compliance
• Contribute to minimizing health and safety risks in their workplace.

• Incident Investigation
• Effective consultation
• Committee functions

New and existing Health & Safety Committee members and others who would like to gain a good grounding in WHS Consultation.
